Prenn Water Fall:
The
water fall is located at the foot of the Prem Mountain Pass. The 10-km
long pass is on the highway 20 that links Dalat with Ho Chi Minh City to
the south. The famous Prenn water fall is situated right at the approach
to Dalat city. Just get off the car and a walk of about 100 meters will
take you to the foot of the water fall which is considered as a thin wall
of vaporous water. As soon as you enter the vicinity of the fall you can
notice the subtle change brought about by the mist from the thin cascading
water falling down gently from a height of 10 meters. The foot of the fall
is a small valley covered with flowers and pine trees. The cascading water
is falling down over a small bridge spanning the small lake, which allows
visitors to tread on the bridge to enjoy the feeling of being under the
gently cascading layer of water.
Datanla Water
Fall:
The water fall is situated in the middle of
the Prenn Pass and about five kilometers from Dalat. From the Highway 20
you just turn to a small descending path for about 300 meters to a small
and narrow valley where you can see a small water fall in front of you.
Unlike Prenn Water Fall this Datanla Water Fall is not provided with a
magnificent mountain background. From the height of 20 meters, the
cascading water falls down to the ground before disappearing again through
layer after layer of marble lying scattered in a small stream. Legend has
it that this was the place where fairy ladies from the heaven often
gathered together for bathing. Thus this flat stream portion has been
named Suoi Tien (Stream of Fairy Ladies).

From Dalat you are advised to follow Highway 20 for about 40 kilometers
before turning left for about 500 meters. The Guga water fall is now in
front of you. The water fall is about 17 meters high. The water falling
from above is divided into two cascading parts. The one on the right is
gently running down while the other on the left is more powerful falling
down with such a velocity it makes water ricocheting after touching the
marble at the bed of the fall.
Cam Ly Water
Fall:
Even before visitors in town arrive at the
site of the fall they are likely to hear the noise produced by the running
water in the stream that runs through the city in a zigzag way. The lake
in the city is supplied with water by a small stream running to the north
of the lake. On the other side of the lake there is another small stream
that brings water from the lake down to the western part of the city. This
small spring runs beneath a bridge and near a bus station. Beneath the
bridge is a small dam that is used to contain the water in the lake to a
desired level. Both streams to and from the lake are named Cam Ly. The
stream that runs from the lake on the southern bank makes a turn to the
west of the city. At a location two kilometers fro, the lake the water in
the stream has to run through a rough bed of the stream which is full of
big boulders, These builders are the components that together make the
famous water fall called Cam Ly.
