Cham Towers:
The towers lie some seven kilometers east of the centre of Phan Rang
town, near Thap Cham Railway Station. This is a group of four towers, the
remainder from a group of six constructed in the 13th century.
The main tower was dedicated to King Po Klong, who as legend has it,
suffered from leprosy, very bravely. Despite the passage of time, much
remains of the four-sided, 21m-high tower. In the old days during
excavations for the research and preservation of the tower, French
archaeologists found a number of gold and silver bowls and jewelry.
Recently in the course of repair and restoration some gold bolds were also
found.
