Introduction
From Hanoi visitors go via National Highway 2 to Viet Tri, the provincial chief town of Vinh Phu, 84 kilometres north of Hanoi. Vinh Phu is a hilly province crisscrossed by many river and streams. The province is home to several kinds of cash crops such as tea, Chinese lacquer, and do, a kind of bark tree for paper making..., to cite just a few. Vinh Phu has been considered as native land of the founders of Vietnam, the root of the Vietnamese nation. The founders of Vietnam were the Hung kings who established the first country called Van Lang the capital of which is now at Phong Chau district. The annual average temperature is 24°C. Famous sites include Tam Dao Resort, Dai Lai Lake, Ao Cham Pond, and sec bua folk singing of the Muong ethnic group. |
